Measuring up the area you
require tiled can be a very daunting task for anyone that hasn't
tried it before. But for the more adventurous people; below is
how to measure the area to be tiled.
Start by measuring the overall
size of the wall, height by the width. So 2500mm x 5000mm =
12.50 square meters or m2.
Next the window, height by the
width again. So 1000mm x 1500mm = 1.50 m2.
Now the door, height by width again. So 1960mm x 760mm =
1.489600m2. Round this off as 1.5 m2 to make it easier.
So we've got to take away
1.5 m2 for the window and 1.5m2 for the door equalling 3 m2.
12.5 Square meters minus 3 square meters = 9.5 m2.
Now we add 10% extra to allow
for cuts and waste. 9.5 m2 + 10 % = 10.45 m2.
Total amount of tiles needed is 10.45 m2.
We understand this can be
complicated and if you would rather we call out and do this for
you just give us a call.

When taking
measurements it is very important that all areas are taken into
account such as with the above the measurements of both the
window and the door must be taken and then you must deduct this
from the total amount of space on this wall.
PLEASE NOTE THAT IF YOU ARE NOT ONE HUNDRED PERCENT HAPPY
ABOUT MEASURING UP THEN LET OUR TEAM OF EXPERT TILLERS DO THIS
FOR YOU.
If you are having
a boarder around your room then you should use the following
when measuring up. Measure all around the room , This will be
your linear meters for the room , when you buy your tiles on the
box it will tell you what the liner coverage of the box is, so
if the box is for 2.5 meters and the room size is 19.5 metres
you will require eight boxes of tiles for your border.
